1) As of January 2010, the membership fee will be increased to $25.00. This is a needed step, so the WSCA can continue to support our members and increase our ability to offer more of what the coaches are asking for. The board voted on this in June and the vote was unanimous. We are working on making the registration process easier and less confusing, so please check the website for updates. 2) Starting in 2010, to have a player be recognized as All-State, a coach MUST be a member. This was also voted on at the June meeting and the vote was unanimous. 3) February of 2010 will hold the WSCA convention as well as our second hall of fame induction. I want to thank Dan Stone for his efforts with the Hall of Fame and Scott Surprise for organizing the convention. I encourage everyone to attend the convention and the hall of fame banquet. 4) As our seasons continue and into the spring, remember what our mission is. As coaches we need to not only work together to further our game, but we need to provide leadership to our newer coaches and our players teaching sportsmanship and respect for the game at all times. I think one of our biggest roles is to build a life long love for the game in our players. As our time passes as coaches, we aim to be leaving the sport better than when we played or coached. 5) Please take a moment to thank Andy Montalbano for his efforts in keeping our website updated. Also a thank you to Chris Martinelli and John Ziperski for all their past efforts and their continuing efforts for the WSCA. Enjoy the remainder of your season and thank you for passing the love of the game onto your players and the coaches you mentor. Yours in soccer,
Bob Antholine
